Multicultural Events
Multicultural events provide valuable opportunities for students, educators, and community members to engage with diverse cultures, traditions, and global perspectives without the financial barrier of international travel. Through exposure to cultural customs, cuisine, and lived experiences, participants gain a deeper understanding of the world, helping them become more culturally competent and adaptable in increasingly diverse classrooms, workplaces, and communities. These events also create meaningful platforms for students and teachers to share knowledge through research-based presentations or personal travel experiences, fostering both academic growth and personal connection. By offering these programs locally and at no cost, multicultural events ensure inclusive access for individuals of all ages and income levels, strengthening community ties while promoting global awareness.

March 12, 2026: Travel Series: UAE and Malawi at Schaller Memorial Building
May 30, 2026: Welcoming event for Belarusian Business delegation in Perrysburg at Bill Hilt’s yard to introduce the guests to the community and learn about their country, culture and work.
June 4, 2026: Farewell Program at W.W. Knight Nature Reserve, Perrysburg for the Belarusian Business delegation & report to the community; Fr. Miklos Egressy and his family from Transcarpathia, Ukraine also provided a report to the community and thanked for our support to his M. Pokrova Charitable Foundation and his community since the war started.

January 15, 2025 Community birthday celebration for Tamas Scheuring from Hungary and welcome Fr. Marton Egressy and his wife and two children from Transcarpathia, Ukraine to NWO at Sidelines restaurant in Perrysburg.
March 19, 2025 “Celebrating Travel Everywhere” event at Schaller Memorial Building in Perrysburg with special guests the Vice Mayor Dr. Tamas Kovacs from Szeged, Hungary. Recognition of Dr. Richard Paat and the SCORE Medical Mission team for their medical missions in Transcarpathia, Ukraine, celebrating Bob and Karen Lakis who traveled to more than 100 countries.
May 11, 2025 Welcome event for the Belarusian Local Governance delegation and Judy Stone & Skip Gaynor’s home at Old West End, Toledo to introduce the guests and learn about their country and culture.
May 16, 2025 Farewell event and report to the community by the Belarusian Local Governance delegation at Bill Hilt’s yard in Perrysburg.
September 14, 2025 Celebration the 35th anniversary of the Toledo-Szeged Sister City relationship and the arrival of the COIL Open World Energy delegation from Szeged, Hungary at the Hungarian Club of Toledo.
